I don't get why she liked him. It's really shallow to only like someone because of everything but them personally. To stay in an abusive relationship because you love them is ridiculous.
When is the story going to progress? It's starting to get boring with the divorce plot line going round in circles. Let her get divorced already & free from the man who abused her.
Why are these novels all about how the abusive man getting what he wants? Are they all written by men or are the women from the country of origin all abused to the point that they think this is normal & acceptable & they should be perpetuating & celebrating the abuse in novel form?

The obvious solution here is to get divorced & not tell the manipulative, evil man that you have.
Refreshingly nice to see the man lacking any morals standing up to a man of even worse character in a way that is not disrespectful.
