It gets worse as the story starts to have her think back on her marriage to reveal that she had always hoped he'd (Sebastian Ratcliff) grow to love her and how she loved him. WHAT? She had a boyfriend (Zach Wiles) when all this went down 7 years ago. He went overseas and she ws working to follow with a visa and acceptance into MIT. Sebastian not only made her give up her chance for MIT, he wouldn't allow her to travel outside of the country.
Throughout, there are inconsistencies in people's names, specific details and background info. It's a hot mess
Ultimately, the story makes no sense as the author attempts to drag it out for serialization. It was doomed from the start with the basic storyline:
A billionaire CEO was drugged at his birthday party seven years prior to the opening scene. He ended up having s*x with a young woman, who ended up pregnant and seemingly traps the man into marriage. We slowly find out that the woman was not at fault and that she was set up to hand over the drugged drink then later sent to his room with medicine,( since he wasn't feeling well send didn't know he was drugged), at which point he commenced to sexually assault and r*pe her. She ends up frantically calling the police, bringing forth evidence of the r*pe etc. The Patriarch of the billionaire's family comes to her with a proposal, after discovering her pregnancy, and asked her to just marry his grandson and he would help her deceased mother's company survive and give her 2 billion, I think. She agrees...
