No , you are one hundred percent correct on those questions. I get so frustrated with her lack of emotional intelligence toward him and I honestly feel like it has to be her lack of self esteem. Even when people compliment her for her good work and talent and figure, she tends to ignore them. Why is Stella that dense when it comes to William? He's already confessed twice, and she wonders why he gets angry when she makes comments like leaving with another woman?
And to top it off. She never stops to consider that his confessions are real, but keeps dismissing it as him joking or their drunk.
I get her precious marriage with Marc has left her sense of self esteem twisted when it comes to love, but with her parents and research, she's bold, decisive and quite intelligent.
So for someone intelligent, why does she act so dumb? Hi IQ, low EQ? Or is her idea of love so broken from what Marc did to her that she can see genuine affection anymore?
