Lanston.
It’s been five years since I died and I’m still here. Still haunting this world. I’ve all but given up hope of passing on the other side when I’m dragged to a spring performance with Yelina and Jericho. It’s there that I see the most beautiful phantom I’ve ever witnessed dancing on the stage. Only after meeting her do I realize how similar we are. But darkness chases her, keeping her distant from me. But how far am I willing to go to find peace?
Ophelia.
I’ve evaded other phantoms for years. To keep them safe and away from the shadows that haunt me. But for some reason, I can’t stay away from him. He invites me to join him at Harlow Sanctum, where he asks me to join him in completing our bucket list. He wants to pass on. But I have a dark past that keeps me from wanting to follow him into the dark.

Author’s Note
The Fabric of Our Souls must be read prior to this one. This is a spin off for one of the side characters.
This is not a self help book. Everything is morally grey and not for those who don’t enjoy morbid themes. This is a deep dive into emotional and mental illness from my perspective. Not everyone experiences depression/irrational thoughts the same.
This book romanticizes being dead. The main topic revolves around two ghosts who’ve suffered deeply in life and reflect on their traumas.
988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, text or call.
This book dallies with mentally ill characters in a fictional manner. Harlow Sanctum is a fictional place and in no way, shape, or form are based on real life places or institutions.
The characters joke about their illness and make light of their conditions at times. If you are sensitive to this aspect please do not read this book. I am not making light of the seriousness of their illnesses but rather expressing what it is like from my own perspective and experience to have depression and mental illness.
