Kane just wants his father back. Not a new brother, not a mental foster parent. Not to be part of a multi-government experiment. Kane McAllister's father has gone missing and has been declared dead. Kane doesn't believe it. He is picked up by the Government of Child Welfare and stuck into foster care. There he is paired with Devin, a small boy who believes the only reason he exists is to be hurt. Together they are sent to a large house with only a foster mother. The whole situation is wrong. When Kane discovers they are part of a social experiment put together by the Governments of Child Welfare, Social Services, and a couple others, he decides to take advantage of the situation. He can protect Devin and, hopefully, find out what really happened to his father.
