Absolutely loved this novel. Believable storyline with great characters. This author did  such a great job giving these characters real depth and boy did she write an epic love story.

Who would have thought that after two decades of marriage these two will call it quits and then remarry a month after they signed on the dotted line? Amber and Elijah are a classic case of "star crossed lovers" destined to be together. ❤️

As for the James brothers - I love Drake and Maddox even more 😉😉

Divorce after 21 years of marriage despite their love for each other because of trust and filial issues. The "affair" they engage in to desperately hold on to each other while divorce is being processed, is a pleasant twist to this romance--it allows them to love without the mask each wears to hide their respective pain, heartaches, and brokenness. Just when they think reconciliation is possible, feelings of betrayal shatter their beautiful relationship. . . but Elijah's persistence wins Amber eventually. Interesting romance!

This story took a bit to get into but I actually enjoyed it the most so far. Elijah is definitely competing with Drake to being my favourite James brother. I think we can all learn so much from this story. We are all guilty of becoming complacent in our relationships.
