The Defiant Mate

Fantastic story, I'm going to read book 2 right away. It's really very realistic, even though I almost gave up because of the many misunderstandings and Jayla's emotional state.  I don't regret reading to the end and I can't wait to read the sequel 

The story took a dip in the middle and a gaping hole in the "hardball" theory is that the male protagonist could counter-sue her for holding his children hostage. Otherwise a good read as far as these stories go. A twist on the classic "Fated mates live happily ever after" trope.
