1. A Night Meant for Celebration Turns Into Loneliness
Trista sits alone on the balcony of the Alpha’s residence, waiting for her mate, Cassian, on the third anniversary of their mate-bonding. She has prepared a beautiful dinner and lit a “3” candle, but Cassian—supposedly on a business trip—fails to show up. 2. A Devastating Message from Wynn
Trista’s communication stone suddenly vibrates. The message is from Wynn, Cassian’s sister, who urges her to view a visual crystal.
When Trista activates the crystal, her world shatters.
