The world is overrun with dangers spilling out after a great catastrophe destroyed the old world. From the ashes, the Templar arose and battle alongside their wholly human allies to preserve and protect what is left of the human race. This book introduces the major themes, characters, and conflicts while not delving too much into the surrounding world which is explored in the later books.
