The pain of their past destroys the wonderful present Aria and Grayson are building their future from. Aria has yet to heal from her parents’ murder when her boyfriend cheats on her. Grayson offers her a way out—they fall in love and find happiness in each other's company until Grayson discovers his parentage, which scares him enough to push Aria away. A classic example of misplaced sacrifices driven by the fear of rejection, insecurity, overthinking. Why are people in love blinded by their own illusions of the episodes unfolding before them? Clearly, love alone is not enough!
