This is all so repetitive, like a wind bag slowly releasing its air... no progress on any front; hasn't made up with Sage, hasn't found any information on the mutant rogues.
I thought she wasn't going to address it in public in front of everyone? She still did. And after his explanation, she was jut being childish and unreasonable. She just wanted a reason to be mad.
i feel like her full powers won't awaken unto they are fully mated.
1. What happened to the young wolves she was guarding when he arrived if the mutant rogues cut off all escape routes and even she, a wolfless person, ended up with cuts and wounds?
2. What exactly was there to see? Being that they had already been condemning the Ancient Healer Packs as being too powerful and dangerous, her confirming that she is indeed from such a bloodline doesn't evoke the emotion that Alaric is speaking of at the end of the chapter, as if she will suddenly be respected.
Right after saying he has an encrypted message with a name authorizing the massacre of her people, he says he need to get proof of who authorized the massacre of her people? It was clearly his father with his no compassion, no empathy having self. Or Eris' father since he's from the Northern Territory.
Did we forget that this was supposed to be for clearing Sage's name about her being a murderer of her parents as a child? I mean, the massacres are important, but that's an entirely different focus. They have enough evidence on ancient scrolls to prove that Daphne's lying and has falsified documents, regardless of what the nobles say. Shouldnt the palace have documentation of packs? If they only disappeared twenty years ago, shouldn't his parents know more about them, have had correspondence with their leaders, have seen a wolf with violet eyes?
Ok, so when did she supposedly kill her parents if she's only twenty and was brought to the pack twenty years ago? She poisoned them with herbs in the womb, both of them, then drove her mom to labor? Or did she poison them at a couple months olds?
I have the feeling Iris set up this "only one room" situation.

In light of everything, what happened to Daphne? Her fake scrolls and all of that?

I thought James was Marcus' son. That he was the son if a councilman. Why is no councilman mourning his son's death?
