He is so weak and so is she. She so easily believes everything. I thought she said her mother taught her about plants and healing? This is exactly why these serial books fail. The author forgets what was previously written or revealed.

Explain why she would be bold enough to do this in front of the Lycan King after what happened to her last time?

Every chapter she shows self doubt and at the end, she acts like she's strong, EVERY CHAPTER. Can she be consistent? One first and then the other later, to show true growth and strength?
