A wonderful book. Stay away if you dont like strong emotions in your books that would make you cry. Each and every chapter is like a punch to your gut.
Initially, I wasn't convinced to finish the book. The initial chapters just seemed like the same old stuff that one comes across in most books. But then we get in deeper. And we fall in love with the main characters esp Tristan. He was a total surprise package. There is angst, romance, humor and tears all perfectly woven together. The ending was rushed though..not that everything didnt come together perfectly..but I felt the writer just rushed through the last chapter because the pacing was perfect till then and then it's as if on fast forward mode.
Yeah, nope, this doesn't come close to the first two books in the series. Some portions are pretty good and some are extremely rushed. The author writes s*x scenes well and honestly a good portion of the book is just that. I didnt feel anything for the main characters. The author did try to bring layers to the male lead. But the writing didnt evoke any strong feelings. With a predictable ending, the book was quite anti cathartic.
Couldn't finish the book. I know this is a novella but that doesn't mean the characters simply rush (into bed). It started off well..a good premise. It derails soon once the characters meet each other. Had potential, but missed.
Quite a good read! What i liked was how close to realism the writer has penned the trauma response of the main character. Loved the support system that the all the other characters make.
The author has a penchant for strong female characters and this book doesn't disappoint. I think Sal will be my favorite amongst all her other female leads. Apart from a slight hiccup of the author's habit of using nicknames for proper pronouns, I can't fault the book. The best thing would be the slow progression of the relationship. Not insta love as is in the case of many books. So if you aren't a fan of a long wait, steer clear. Catch an extended cute epilogue on the author's website.
It fails to hit the mark. Has an interesting premise..Hunt for a thief and Christmas. But another insta-love. Characters are quite mid. The suspense portion fizzles out.
Loved the book. Always a fan of the author's books. When the book starts, one would wonder what does Grace see in Gabriel..a class asshole if I might say. But slowly all makes sense and we come to love his character. The pacing is on point.
A rambling mess of a book. Characters were quite flat. The author tried to do quirky, but it started bordering on irritating. It starts off well but quickly derails.
I have got mixed feelings about the book I prefer the Miles high series and its characters. As the story progresses, we are in for some dark clouds before the sun shines bright. The main characters can be pretty infuriating at times. They needed a good amount of learning and unlearning. The conclusion was a mess. As if the writer ran out of steam.Certain "investigations" by the male characters are hilarious. Will I revisit the book? Nope
